Kroc Church Logo

We acknowledge that all of us are on a journey. We’re at different places, coming from different experiences—oftentimes headed in very different directions. Our world offers many paths to choose from, but we believe that the God who is over all things has a path marked out for each of us. So how do we choose? That’s a question that we’re constantly exploring in our church community.

We want to be a church known for relentlessly seeking the LORD and His truth. We serve a great and loving God who is for all people, and we want to be a church that reflects that. Because the truth is, as neighbors and families, friends and companions, we’re not called to journey alone. Here at the Kroc Center, we are privileged to be located in such a vibrant and diverse community, and it is our prayerful passion to love God, love others, and serve and love our community in Jesus’ name.

We invite you to take your next step on your spiritual journey by coming to one of our community gatherings. Wherever you are, it is our hope that you are able to discover just what a beautiful journey life can be with God directing our paths.

Kroc Church is a place where people from all walks of life are welcomed and belong. We gather to study the Bible, worship God and progress together in community so that lives are changed through Jesus. Come join us, you belong here!  Read more about what we believe.

See more about the Forneys

Captains Rich & Linnea Forney have been officers in The Salvation Army for 12 years. but prior to officership worked for the Salvation Army for almost 20 years in Youth and Family Ministries. They have served in three different communities in that time, including Elgin IL, Aurora IL, and right here in Quincy, IL.

The Forneys met at a Salvation Army Camp in East Troy Wisconsin, and married in Escanaba, Michigan. Captain Linnea is from Escanaba, Michigan, and Captain Rich, although he’s lived in N. The Forneys have two adult children and enjoy being Mimi and Grandpa. They enjoy spending time with their family, traveling, enjoy backyard fireside fellowship, and cruising.

Captain Linnea is completing her bachelors in Practical Ministries and operated state licensed childcare facilities for 15 years prior to being an Officer. Captain Rich has a Masters in Pastoral Leadership and BA in Practical Ministries from Olivet Nazarene University.
